I have a 6-year career gap and I'm currently applying for jobs in Chicago. I've submitted about 200 applications so far, but I've only had one interview, which unfortunately didn't go well. I'm trying to pivot into HR or administrative roles, but I haven't had any success in landing those positions. I'm now considering applying for medical front office jobs, where I have some experience, just to get hired and fill the gap in my resume. However, I'm hesitant because I don't want to feel stuck in that field, especially since it would be my third job in that area. I'm looking for advice on whether applying for the medical front office positions is a smart move or if I should keep focusing on HR/admin roles.
