I've been job searching intensely since graduating, and I've come to regret not pursuing a career in healthcare. It seems like nearly half of the job postings in my state are in that field, while the other options are limited to retail, sales, or white-collar positions that require at least 7 years of experience. As a new graduate, I'm finding it incredibly frustrating that most jobs in my field demand at least 3 years of experience. In contrast, I see numerous nursing positions actively seeking new graduates. It's disheartening to realize that I might have made a better choice by going into healthcare instead.
