Feeling anxious about job prospects as a new graduate in Software Engineering

I graduated from a tier 1 college in India, and I'm feeling increasingly anxious about the job market as I prepare to enter the workforce. The current batch of graduates is facing a tough situation with daily news of layoffs across various companies. I'm hearing mixed messages about the state of Software Engineering (SWE) careers; some say it's still a viable path, while others claim that the field is dying and finding an entry-level SWE job is becoming more difficult. It seems like the industry thrived when interest rates were low and funding was readily available, but now with rising rates and companies like Elon Musk's pushing for leaner workforces, layoffs are rampant and hiring is scarce. I'm left wondering if there are enough opportunities out there for new graduates like myself.
