Navigating my feelings about leaving my property assistant manager role

I recently started a job as a property assistant manager about two months ago, but I'm feeling like this role isn't the right fit for me. The way my property manager operates doesn't align with how I work best, and the inconsistent hours are really challenging. I often don't know my schedule until late the night before, which is stressful. I've managed to secure a few interviews for service positions that I'm hopeful about, but I'm torn about how to approach leaving my current job if I get an offer. I want to be respectful to my boss, who I actually like, but I also don't want to feel guilty about leaving. I'm on a contract, so I know I don't have to give notice, but I feel like a two-week notice is standard. I’m considering whether to tell him in person or over message, and how much notice would be fair, especially since my departure could put extra pressure on my coworkers. I want to do what's best for me while also being considerate of the team.
