Applied for IT and Development Positions After Three Years of Job Searching

I have been out of work for nearly three years now, and it's been a tough journey. My last job paid over $100k, but after my contract ended, I faced some personal challenges that led to a period of depression due to family losses. Thankfully, I had saved enough to cover my basic bills for a few months, but eventually, I had to move back in with my parents. Since then, I've been applying for jobs almost every workday, but the results have been disheartening. I've received 21 explicit rejections and only had one interview, which ended in a rejection as well. They mentioned my responses regarding AI as a factor in their decision, which really made me question my approach. Earlier this year, I sought help from OVR, and now my daily routine involves filling out job applications to maintain my assistance. I have a Schedule A letter from them, which states that they would cover my pay during a probationary period for any job I secure. I'm primarily looking for positions in IT and development, where I have experience, but I’ve also applied to places like Walmart and Amazon without success. I'm feeling burnt out and exhausted. Living with my parents without health insurance is taking a toll on me, even though I'm grateful for having a roof over my head and food to eat. I know I have skills and potential; my IQ is decent, and while I have ADHD, I don’t consider myself disabled. I’m at a loss for what more I can do. I’m even open to going back to school to improve my chances or change careers, but OVR can’t assist me with that due to my outstanding federal loans from when I attended university before dropping out during COVID. I’m not completely hopeless, but I can feel myself heading in that direction. I’m sure there’s something I’m missing or some obvious step I haven’t taken. I’d appreciate any ideas, suggestions, or experiences that others might have to share. I’m struggling to form concrete questions, so I apologize for that. I feel like I’ve exhausted my resources. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
