Deciding on a job offer with a challenging commute and mixed opinions

I received a job offer yesterday and I'm really torn about whether to accept it due to the commute. The position is about 15 miles from my new place, and while it could take just 20 minutes without traffic, during peak hours it could stretch to 40 minutes or even over an hour. Coming from a small town, I'm not used to this kind of traffic, and I'm worried about how it will affect my daily routine. The job is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and offers $17 per hour along with benefits and potential overtime. Given that I don't have a degree, this seems like a decent opportunity, but I'm really hesitant about the long commute, especially considering winter conditions could make it worse. I need to respond to them soon, and I'm wondering if it would be foolish to turn down the offer just because of the commute. I’ve read mixed opinions from others, with some saying I should take it for the experience and potential growth, while others caution that the pay and commute might not be worth it. Any advice would really help!
