Navigating mixed emotions after a layoff right after becoming debt-free

I was laid off after four years at my company, right after I finished paying off all my loans. I had just celebrated my debt-free status with a holiday, and then returned to work only to be told they were cutting costs and my position was eliminated. It's a strange mix of emotions; I'm relieved to be debt-free at a time when I need it, but the timing of the layoff feels incredibly unfortunate. Looking back, I wonder if there were signs that something was off, but I was so focused on doing my job well that I missed any warning signals. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation where everything seemed to be going right, only to have it all turn upside down?
