I’ve been feeling really stuck in my current job for the past five years. I’m in a management position and earn over $70,000 a year, which is decent for my area, but I’m completely miserable. I find myself torn between the comfort of a good salary and the desire to actually enjoy what I do for over eight hours a day. It’s frustrating because the things I genuinely enjoy doing typically pay $16 an hour or less. I feel like I’m fighting against my own happiness just to maintain financial stability. I’m really at a crossroads and don’t know how to move forward.
