Frustration in Job Search: Conflicting Signals in a Tight Labor Market

I've been feeling really frustrated lately as I try to find a new job. Even though the news is reporting that US weekly jobless claims are at a 57-year low, I can't seem to land an interview. I was hoping to jump ship from my current role, but it feels like employers aren't as desperate for candidates as I expected.
