The second offer is from a FAANG company for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role, with a base salary of $240k and a total compensation of approximately $330k, including stocks and bonuses. Both positions are located in the Bay Area. Now, I'm weighing my options and wondering which offer to accept. Is it a bad idea to take the SDET role? Will I have the opportunity to transition back to a Software Engineer role in the future? I'm feeling relieved to have these offers, but I want to make the right choice for my career.
