Navigating workplace conflict: Seeking advice after HR investigation

I recently found myself in a tough situation at work. After a heated argument with a coworker who was disrespectful and swore at me, I decided to leave early because I was frustrated. My manager was present but didn’t take any action to address the issue. The following day, when I asked if my manager had spoken to the coworker about his behavior, I was unexpectedly told to go home. Now, I've received an email from HR stating that there is an investigation regarding workplace conduct, and I can’t help but feel anxious about the possibility of losing my job, especially since I feel like I did nothing wrong. I stood up for myself, and now I’m worried about being wrongfully accused. I took the step of emailing HR to share my side of the story, but I’m unsure if that was the right move. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I could really use some advice on how to navigate this situation.
