I recently applied for a position at Experian and went through two rounds of interviews. The first was an assessment test, which felt pretty basic, and the second was conducted by someone who seemed distracted, as she was interviewing another candidate while I was answering questions about PyTorch. After the interviews, I received an email saying I was selected. A person named Rahul, who claimed to be HR, called me to confirm my selection and mentioned that a company laptop would be sent to my nearest post office for me to collect, as it would be a work-from-home job. I asked for a salary of 6 LPA, but he offered 5.67 LPA instead. Then, he requested several documents before sending the official offer letter and insisted that I complete an advanced PyTorch certification, promising reimbursement for it. However, he stated that certifications from Udemy and Coursera are not valid and that he would provide recommendations for acceptable certification courses. This whole process raised some red flags for me, and I’m starting to wonder if this hiring process is legitimate or if I might be dealing with a scam.
