I interviewed for a role at a company on August 10 and was told my profile was still under consideration after I followed up on August 19. One of the interviewers even encouraged me, saying I was doing well and that HR would provide an update soon. However, the very next day, I noticed the company had posted the same job opening again on LinkedIn, actively promoting it with a link for new applications. This left me confused about my status; if they are still considering me, why would they be looking for more candidates? It seems like a common practice to keep the job postings fresh, but it makes me wonder if I'm still in the running or if they are just casting a wider net.
