Today, I experienced my first layoff at 31 years old. I was let go from my job, and I'm still processing the shock of it all. As I prepare to look for a new position, I'm faced with a decision regarding my 401(k). Should I roll it over after I receive my final PTO check, or should I cash it out and apply for unemployment? I'm leaning towards rolling it over, but I want to make sure I'm making the right choice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this unexpected transition.
