Navigating a Career Crossroads: Current Job Stability vs. Exciting Startup Opportunity

I'm currently working at a large tech company in a management role within a call center. The benefits are fantastic, and I enjoy a good work-life balance. However, I'm starting to feel uneasy about potential layoffs, especially with the rise of AI in our industry. My company hasn't had mass layoffs in decades, but the recent push for onsite work—despite my role being fully remote—has me concerned, as it would require me to move states, which I'm not willing to do. Recently, a new opportunity presented itself at a smaller, rapidly growing startup. They have only been around for about a year, but they seem to be busy and have significant potential for growth. The role would allow me to expand my skill set and move away from the call center environment, which I feel is becoming obsolete. The new position offers a higher salary, although the benefits are not as robust, and there are no stock options, but there is potential for bonuses. Like my current job, it is also fully remote. I have a pending offer from the startup, and I'm feeling really torn. On one hand, I love my current job, but I can't shake the feeling that layoffs might be on the horizon. The startup is exciting and offers growth, but I’m worried about the trade-offs in benefits. I'm looking for perspectives from others who have faced similar decisions.
