I recently had a frustrating experience with a new job I started. I was initially offered a wage of $21 per hour by the big boss during the interview, but when I checked my pay rate in the system, I found they had me listed at only $12 per hour. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and I was furious. I had to call them out on it to get it 'fixed.' This isn't the first time I've encountered shady practices in my career; I've had another job that deducted lunch breaks that I never took. It's disheartening to see such fishy business in the job market.
