I was laid off on July 7th from a job I truly loved, and for 3.5 months, I struggled with my career prospects. I spent countless hours tweaking my resume and applying to every job I could find that was even somewhat related to my field. After facing numerous rejections, phone screens that led nowhere, and being ghosted by recruiters, I felt defeated. I went through multiple rounds of interviews only to be told I was the second choice. To make ends meet, I even took up substitute teaching and donated plasma just to cover my rent and groceries. But I’m thrilled to share that I finally landed a role that I’m genuinely excited about! It’s fully remote and offers a higher salary than my previous position. I know the job market is tough and the AI ATS systems can be frustrating, but I want to encourage everyone out there to keep pushing forward. There’s a role out there waiting for you. Stay hopeful!
