I recently interviewed for a state job and received a rejection letter last Friday, which was disappointing. However, today I noticed that the job has been reposted, and the new posting states, "If you previously applied for this position, you are still in consideration and do not need to re-apply." This has left me feeling conflicted because the rejection letter seems to contradict this statement. I'm assuming that I'm no longer being considered, but I'm unsure. I'm thinking about reaching out to HR for clarification, but I'm also tempted to reapply just in case. Any advice on how to proceed?
