I'm currently working at Grocery Outlet, which is set to open soon, but I'm really struggling with the chaos of getting everything ready. As a 28-year-old with autism, the lack of clarity about my final role is really stressful for me. My manager keeps assigning me various tasks without any clear direction, and it's overwhelming. Last Friday, I even had an emotional breakdown at work due to the pressure. I had been unemployed for a year before landing this job, and while I appreciate having a position, I don't like it at all. My Bachelor's degree in English hasn't helped me find better opportunities, and I'm feeling stuck with little chance of finding something else in my area. I'm considering reaching out to my manager or HR for support, but I'm not sure if that will help. I really want to find a job that suits me better.
