I've been struggling with my resume lately, especially when it comes to crafting bullet points for my applications. I'm targeting entry-level and internship roles in libraries, museums, and archives, but I find myself repeating phrases like 'assisted with' and 'collaborated on.' It feels redundant and doesn't showcase my personality or unique experiences. I'm trying to inject more of my voice into my cover letters, but my resume feels weak in comparison. I'm reaching out to anyone in the library/archive/museum field for advice on what makes a strong resume. I've been using a Google Doc for a while, but I'm considering switching to a Canva template to make it more visually appealing. Most of my experience comes from volunteering, interning, and coursework related to my B.S. in Anthropology. I know not having a degree in Museum Studies or Library Sciences might be a setback, but I try to highlight my relevant coursework to strengthen my application.
