I'm heading to the Bay Area next week for 11 days and I'm really excited about the opportunity to network while I'm there. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Data Science, I'm looking to make connections that could help me land a job in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, or User Experience. I currently live in Portland, OR, and I know the job market has been tough, but I believe that meeting people in the Bay Area, where there are more opportunities, could lead to some promising leads. I've already arranged to meet some contacts at big companies, but I'm also on the lookout for summits, conferences, or networking events that I can attend. I want to share my interests and projects and hopefully connect with recruiters. While I don't have formal work or internship experience, I've worked on self-initiated projects and have some research experience that I can discuss. Any advice on events or networking opportunities would be greatly appreciated!
