Navigating Job Interviews While Currently Employed as a Cashier

I'm currently working as a grocery store cashier and I'm looking to transition to a new retail job. However, I'm hesitant to put in my two weeks' notice without having another position lined up. In the past, I've had interviews where mentioning my need for a notice negatively impacted my chances since employers often prefer candidates who can start immediately. I'm considering going into interviews without disclosing my current job situation, but I'm worried that if I'm offered a position, they might expect me to start right away while I'm still scheduled at my current job. I want to leave on good terms in case I decide to return in the future. I'm seeking advice on how to navigate this situation during interviews, as being upfront about my notice has hurt my opportunities before.
