Navigating overwhelming changes as an office manager during company acquisition

I’m currently working as an office manager at a company that was acquired by a larger firm six months ago, and the changes have been overwhelming. After a staff member left abruptly, I was handed a bunch of her responsibilities, which are a complete mess. This has been particularly challenging for me since I had a medical hysterectomy with my ovaries removed a year ago, and I’m on hormone replacement therapy, but it hasn’t alleviated my cognitive fog. I’m struggling to learn new tasks or tackle complex issues because I’m mostly trying to fix the chaos left behind by others. At 42, single, and with no children, I’m also trying to find a property to buy, which adds to my stress. I feel completely alone in this process, both emotionally and financially, and my job is my main source of anxiety. I’ve communicated my struggles to my old boss, but he seems indifferent and doesn’t understand the complexities of our ERP system, which is clunky and outdated. I’ve suggested that the best approach would be to start fresh with a new template for the ERP, but my input hasn’t been taken seriously. As I continue to help with the integration process, I feel increasingly overwhelmed and unsure of my capabilities. I’m worried about potential layoffs once the integration is complete, and I’ve heard that they usually only offer statutory redundancies. This uncertainty is pushing me to find a home quickly, as I was already looking before the acquisition.
