I recently had an interview with a company I've been eager to join ever since I got laid off a year ago. I've been checking their website regularly, and I was thrilled to finally get an interview for a position I applied for. Interestingly, they also had me interview for another role that hadn't even been posted yet, which I felt very qualified for. I thought the interview went well, and I have a couple of friends working there who provided good references for me. They advised me to apply officially once the job was listed on the site. I did this about a week ago, but I haven't heard anything since. I assumed it was just a formality, but now I'm starting to wonder if there are certain metrics my resume needs to meet or if I'm missing something. I reached out to the interviewer a few days ago, but she mentioned she hasn't heard anything either. I'm feeling uncertain about my chances now, especially after initially feeling positive about the interview.
