She reassured me that she hadn’t found anyone with better skills than mine and asked me to wait a few days. I thought that was reasonable. However, today I noticed that the same job ad was reposted on LinkedIn as 'Promoted', and it was eerily similar to my profile. They even included a line about travel that matched my exact boundaries. It feels like they are using my feedback to attract someone else while keeping me on the hook. I’m planning to address this with them on Monday, but I'm really unsure how to interpret this situation. Is it normal for companies to sponsor ads while they’re still in the decision-making process? I feel like I’m being used as a backup plan.
