I interviewed for a position yesterday morning, and the hiring team mentioned they would inform me of their decision either yesterday afternoon or today. However, I haven't received any communication yet, which has me feeling anxious. I'm curious about the typical process for job offers—do companies usually reach out via phone call first, or is an email more common? I'm also wondering if the delay in hearing back means I might not have gotten the job or if I'm just on a backup list. Given that it's the day before a holiday weekend, I realize everyone might be busy, but I can't help but overthink it. If I don't hear back by Monday, I plan to send a follow-up email.
