I'm currently stuck in a survival job after completing my Master's degree, and I honestly thought finding a job would be easier. I've applied to numerous positions, but so far, I've only landed two interviews, both with government agencies. The waiting game is tough; you either hear back quickly or receive a rejection email out of the blue. At this point, I'm applying to jobs outside my field just to increase my chances. It's disheartening to still be in the same job that helped me get through my last two years of school, and it's really taking a toll on my mental health. I've even had to take a leave of absence because my depression has worsened. I'm looking for any words of encouragement or advice to help me through this challenging time.
