I just read the latest jobs report which indicated that the US lost 23,000 jobs last week. My last day at work was July 10, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about the situation. Half of my team is receiving severance packages of six months or more, and I'm left wondering if we are included in that statistic or if we will be counted among the job losses next year. It's a strange time, and while many around me seem to understand the severity of the job market, I still encounter some older colleagues in IT who insist that everything is fine. It's hard to reconcile these differing perspectives.
