Navigating my feelings about returning to an automotive OEM after termination

I was recently terminated from my role in manufacturing operations at an automotive OEM after 14 years, during which I received two promotions. It was shocking to be let go, especially since we were consistently meeting our production targets. The termination seemed to coincide with new senior management coming in, and I can't help but feel that my performance was unfairly scrutinized. Now, I’ve been contacted by another plant within the same company that wants to bring me on as a contractor, with the potential for a direct-hire position later on. I'm torn about whether it's a bad idea to return to a company that I feel wronged me. I know it's a different location with a new leadership team, but I can't shake the feeling that I’d be going back to a place that caused me a lot of stress and uncertainty. Should I take the contract and move forward, or would that be a mistake?
