I recently graduated with a B.S. in Media Arts and Game Development, along with a minor in cybersecurity. However, I’m feeling overwhelmed and unsure about my job prospects. I have a diverse skill set—I can program in C++, C#, and Python, and I'm familiar with game engines like Unity and Unreal. Additionally, I can use Adobe Creative Suite for photo and video editing, but I lack a strong portfolio to showcase my work. After applying to over 500 jobs related to my skills, I feel lost and discouraged. It seems like my broad range of skills is a disadvantage, and I worry that my application gets overlooked because I'm not a Computer Science major. I’m just looking for any job that will allow me to move out and start my career. I want to connect my skills with the right opportunities but I'm struggling to find a clear path.
