I've been in the job hunt for a while now and recently went through a lengthy interview process with a company I was really excited about. Initially, I applied for a specific role but unfortunately, they chose another candidate in the final stage. However, they expressed that they were still impressed with my candidacy and wanted me to interview for another position they had available. I completed that interview and felt quite positive about it, as it seemed more like a conversation where they were explaining the role rather than grilling me with tough questions. I made sure to convey my interest in the position. After about a week of silence, I reached out via email to inquire about any updates. The next day, I received a call from the recruiter who shared the good news that they were thrilled to have me join the team and that they were just finalizing some HR processes, which was why I hadn't received a formal offer yet. They mentioned that I could expect to receive an official offer soon, likely after the long weekend. However, it’s now been almost two weeks since that call, and I still haven't seen any formal offer. I sent a follow-up email on Monday, but the recruiter was out of the office that day and the Friday prior. I'm starting to feel anxious about the situation. The job search has been tough since I graduated, and I thought this was a positive development. Is it common to wait this long for a formal offer? Should I just move on and continue my search?
