Navigating job uncertainty as a marketing brand manager in an AI-driven world

Today was a long day at my job as a marketing brand manager. I had to work late because our company is in the middle of integrating AI into our processes. It honestly feels like I’m training this technology to take over my job rather than using it as a supportive tool. We've been using AI tools like chat and Claud, but today we sat through a seminar about a new marketing website created by Claud. It was all about how we’ll upload our fonts and marketing assets so it can generate posters, ads, social media posts, and more. Trying to explain to my older colleagues why authenticity matters and how we can tell when a photo is AI-generated is exhausting. Young people, who are the next target demographic, really care about this stuff. I believe companies should focus on being honest and creative rather than just jumping on the AI bandwagon. While I may not be replaced immediately, I can’t shake the feeling that it’s only a matter of time. This situation is making me rethink my entire career path, and it’s worrying me about my partner too, who works in a non-creative field. If they can find a way to automate his job, what’s stopping them? I’m really concerned about the future—if layoffs start happening, how will we manage to live?
