Navigating job loss and tough decisions after nine years in management

I just received some tough news at my job in Texas. After starting as a part-time employee nine years ago and working my way up to a full-time management position by 2020, my full-time role is now being dissolved. I was notified today and have a month before my position is officially eliminated. The company has offered me a part-time role instead. I'm feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what to do next. Should I accept the part-time position, or would it be better to focus on applying for unemployment benefits? I'm worried about how taking the part-time role might affect my eligibility for those benefits. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated during this stressful time.
