Feeling anxious while waiting for my job contract from a UK defence company

I recently received a job offer from a UK-based company in the defence sector, and I'm currently in a bit of a waiting game. Here's a quick rundown of my timeline: - On September 14th, I had my first interview via Microsoft Teams. - Then, on September 24th, I had a second interview in person. - Fast forward to September 28th, I got a phone call from the recruitment agent offering me the job, followed by an email with some basic terms like salary and holiday entitlement, but no formal contract yet. - I accepted the offer on the same day, and the recruiter mentioned I would receive the official "offer pack" by September 30th. As of now, it’s September 30th at 5:00 PM, and I still haven’t received the contract. My proposed start date is November 9th, and with a one-month notice period at my current job, I'm feeling anxious about not being able to hand in my resignation yet. I was expecting the contract to come through much quicker, and now I feel stuck in limbo. Is this wait time normal? I’m really hoping to get this sorted out soon so I can move on from my current role, which I really dislike.
