I recently graduated in December 2025 with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and have been actively searching for a job. I've completed two paid internships during my studies, done some research work that provided a stipend, and even freelanced. Despite my efforts, I haven't received any job offers yet. I interviewed with the CEO of a startup for an internship position, but I was surprised to learn at the end of the interview that the role was unpaid. The CEO mentioned that interns are expected to work 45 hours a week, with morning and night shifts, and if you miss a shift, you need to make up those hours later. There are also two mandatory meetings each week, and the only perk is that the position is remote. I'm curious if unpaid internships are becoming more common in today's job market.
