Frustrated After Losing Job Before Starting: Reflecting on My Career Choices

I was recently let go from a job I never even got to start. I had two job offers and chose the one that seemed to align better with my career goals. I went through the entire onboarding process, but they kept delaying my start date. Then, I received an email stating that my role was no longer needed. I can't believe it—I'm really frustrated with this startup company and honestly hope they go bankrupt. What's even more upsetting is that I feel like I made the wrong choice by not going with the other job. It wasn't guaranteed that I would have gotten that position, but now I can't help but wonder if I missed out on a better opportunity. This experience has taught me that even after applying, interviewing, and getting the job, I can still be let go. It's a harsh reality, and I'm feeling pretty defeated right now.
