I recently went through a rapid job application process for a role at a new startup. I applied on LinkedIn through a recruiter and received a call for an interview just two days later. The interview with the CEO went well, and I was offered the position the same day. However, after accepting the offer and submitting my background check forms, I've encountered some delays with my start date. Initially, I was hoping to start on July 27, but they pushed it back because my supervisor would be out. I thought I might start on August 3, but they just informed me that it might be delayed until August 10. I'm feeling a bit frustrated as this is my first job out of college, and I really want to get started and earn some money. I've checked the legitimacy of the company and the recruiter, so I don't think it's a scam, but I'm left wondering if such delays are normal in the hiring process.
