I recently started tracking whether recruiters open my job application emails and follow-ups. At first, I thought it would be helpful to know if my emails were actually reaching someone, or if they were just getting lost in spam folders. Seeing that my email was opened by a recruiter was reassuring, but then I experienced the downside: one recruiter opened my email multiple times in one day without replying, which felt like mental torture. Now I'm wondering if tracking these opens is beneficial for timing my follow-ups or if it just adds unnecessary stress. I'm curious if others have similar experiences or if they prefer to send their applications and forget about them.
