I recently experienced a shocking layoff after just one month in my new role. I had left my previous job for this opportunity, excited about the higher salary and title. However, I woke up one morning to find an email stating that my position had been terminated due to an organization-wide restructure. There was no call from my boss or any prior warning—just a generic email. I’m still in disbelief and at a loss for words. Throughout my short tenure, I actively sought feedback and was consistently told that I was performing well. Now, I find myself unsure of what to do next and looking for any guidance or support from others who might have gone through similar experiences.
