Applied for Electrical Apprentice Role and Considering Office Career Options

I recently attended a hiring event for an electrical apprenticeship with a non-union company. I completed the math exam and have received the background check paperwork, which suggests I'm progressing in the hiring process. However, I've been reflecting on my fit within the company and believe I might be better suited for office roles rather than fieldwork. I'm particularly interested in positions like Contract Specialist, Procurement Specialist, Safety Manager, or Technical Recruiter. I'm curious if there are any trainee positions available for these roles. My main concern is whether I should express this interest now or if it might jeopardize my chances of securing the apprenticeship. Would the company appreciate my honesty about my career interests, or would they interpret it as a lack of commitment to the apprenticeship? I'm also wondering if there's typically any flexibility to transition into office roles early in the process, or if companies generally expect candidates to remain in the positions they initially applied for.
