I’ve been reflecting on the absurdity of unemployment and underemployment in our society. It feels so dysfunctional to have individuals who are eager to work but can’t find jobs. I’ve transitioned through various fields—from art to science, thinking it would offer better financial stability, and then into business and management just to make ends meet. Despite my years of experience, I’m struggling to find roles that match my skills, and many employers won’t even consider me for positions I’m qualified for. I’m grateful to have a job, but it’s frustrating to think about the societal waste that occurs when people aren’t able to contribute meaningfully. It’s not just about having a job; it’s about doing work that aligns with our passions and skills. I still create art in my free time because it’s what I love, but I can’t help but feel that there’s a larger issue at play. We need to rethink how we view work and employment. It shouldn’t be about begging for a job; it should be a mutual agreement where both parties benefit. I believe that if everyone could find work that they are passionate about, society would thrive. It’s disheartening to see so many people struggling to find meaningful work, and I want to encourage those in similar situations to keep pursuing what they love while navigating this challenging job market.
