Reflections on a Surprising Virtual Interview for a Casual Role

I recently had a virtual interview for a casual role that typically hires teenagers. I was caught off guard by the interviewer's questions, which were focused on specific scenarios. For example, he asked how I would handle a customer who disliked the lighting in a photo, how to sell a broken product, and what to say if a machine went down for an hour. I expected the interview to be straightforward, with questions like why I wanted the job, so I felt unprepared for these situational questions. I'm left wondering if these questions are common for this type of role or if I just didn't perform well.
