I recently got laid off from my job and I'm facing some issues with my commuter benefits. I have about $400 left on my Clipper card, and I've been trying to get that money back. I've reached out to the finance department multiple times, but they told me I can't withdraw any funds unless I have receipts from before my layoff date. They also mentioned that any amount deducted after my layoff has gone to my HSA account, which I now owe to the IRS. It's really frustrating because I just want to cash out the remaining balance on my Clipper card to help repay the IRS. If anyone has advice or knows someone who might be interested in buying the card, I would appreciate the help.
