I've been out of work since May 2025 due to some disabilities. I've been relying on state disability, but that support is ending this week. I live in LA with my wife and kids, and we really need my income right now. Honestly, I'm finding it hard to cope and sometimes I go to dark places mentally. I've been in my career for 20 years, but the job market isn't looking good for me. I've struggled to find anything even remotely related to my expertise, and after 18 months of searching, I've faced numerous failed final interviews. It feels like I'm in a really tough spot, and I don't know anyone else who's had it as bad as I have during this time. I'm just feeling really beat up by the whole situation.
