I got laid off last week, and it was quite a shock. I'm a Java Full Stack developer with 2 years of experience, and last Thursday, I received a message on Teams asking me to meet in person. When I got there, HR informed me that due to some organizational restructuring, my role was no longer required. They asked me to resign and submit my laptop right then and there, without providing any further explanations. It all felt very abrupt and confusing.
