Navigating resignation challenges and severance pay concerns during job transition

I recently resigned from my job, officially submitting my resignation two weeks ago. I provided the two letters they requested and was informed that I needed to give a 15-day notice. This means my employment is set to end on July 15th. However, I've been asked to complete some outstanding administrative tasks, which aren't too time-consuming. I'm currently in a new recruitment process, and it's becoming difficult for me to continue going to my current job. I plan to only go in for two days this week and then not return on Monday. I'm worried about whether I will receive my severance pay if I don't complete my notice period. Has anyone experienced something similar?
