I recently received a part-time job offer that I'm not particularly excited about, but I need the income to stay afloat. At the same time, I'm in the process of interviewing for a full-time position that I'm really interested in. I completed the second of three interviews earlier this week and I'm feeling optimistic about it. My friends have suggested that I accept the part-time job now, and if I get an offer for the full-time role, I can then switch to that. This is my first experience with job negotiations, and I'm unsure how to proceed. I've heard there's a way to leverage the part-time offer to potentially speed up the hiring process for the full-time job, but I'm not quite sure how to approach that.
