Applied for Parts Advisor Role on Indeed, Surprised by Staffing Agency Call

I recently applied for a Parts Advisor position at a company I won't name, which I found on Indeed. The job description seemed to align perfectly with my skills, detailing responsibilities like cash handling in a retail environment, inventory management, and ordering auto parts for customers. However, shortly after applying, I received a call from a staffing agency. The recruiter on the line mentioned that the position was actually in recycling, which completely caught me off guard. This felt like a bait and switch situation. I'm left wondering if this is a common practice in the job market today, or if I just happened to encounter a case of resume farming.
