I recently received a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) at my job, which has been a significant source of stress for me. This is the first time I've ever faced something like this, and it feels daunting. I've been with the company for four years, and honestly, I felt like it was holding me back from achieving my career goals and doing work I can be proud of. The past year has taken a toll on my mental health, and I've mentally checked out from my role. While I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude and believe that I can overcome this PIP, I’ve come to the realization that even if I do, I still want to leave this job. This situation has pushed me to start actively searching for new opportunities, and I feel like it might be the motivation I needed to finally take that step.
