This week, I was laid off during a company reorganization. It was quite a shock, especially seeing the stock price soar immediately after the layoffs were announced. Each day following Tuesday, the stock just kept climbing. It's surreal to witness such a reaction while dealing with the aftermath of losing my job. I guess this is just how modern capitalism works.
